Vertex cast pistons are manufactured using the best low expansion aluminium alloys. The pistons have a high Silicon content (12 to 21% depending on application) this enables them to expand evenly to the shape of your cylinder. Vertex pistons are gravity cast then the material structure is refined using a hi-tech heat treatment. This heat treating process is cutting edge technology for these types of aluminium alloys. The machining process is completed using the latest CNC machines with diamond tooling. Using this high tech tooling, different surface finishes can be achieved depending on the final application.

Every Vertex piston passes through a rigorous manual and automatic quality control process to insure only the highest quality level. Following the latest developments in Formula One engines, Vertex has introduced a new, special Phosphate Coating which is slightly harder and has light surface porosity than exhibits superior adhesion qualities. This extends the coating durability twice as long as more traditional Molybdenum Bisulphite coating.

All kit come with piston, piston rings, piston pins and a pair of clips.
