The EC 300 has been our largest selling 2 stroke. Like all the EC range it never ceased to evolve, adopting changes each year that not only keep it continuously improving, but create a virtually different bike each year. The EC 300 has an extremely grunty engine. It has super strong low end power building into a 450 like meaty mid range were the engine really shines. The 300 likes to be ridden in the lower part of the power curve, they just keep going and going refusing to stall. If you like hills this bike is the hill climbing king. The amazing tractor like low end enables you to use the 450 4 strokes stalled on the big hills for traction. You couple this engine with the class leading chassis and you will be first to the top of any hill. For 08 the bike retains the handlebar mounted duel curve ignition switch which enables the rider to further control power delivery with his thumb. It has a wet and dry setting option. The wet option ignition curve slows down the speed the engine builds revs, it feels like a bit like the bike is running rich. The V-Force 3 reed block has also been retained and the Ohlins shock is back for 08. The EC has become a class leader due to its very complete chassis-engine package and the chassis provides incredible agility, stability with extraordinary light feel for the rider. Update for the 2008 EC 300 New design exhaust pipe is shaped for improved ground clearance. New front brake caliper that is more efficient and 200 grams lighter. New headlight that flows into a re-styled front guard. New, stronger hand guards now mount directly to the handlebars. The seat retains its single bolt removal system and now has a new shape that is 28% wider and features dual density foam filling for greater rider comfort. The cockpit is updated with a new digital multi-function Speedo and new handlebar mounted light switch assembly. The suspension has revised settings in the Marzocchi forks to improve high speed performance and low speed stability. The EC250 features an Ohlins rear shock absorber as standard fitment. The front brake is now more efficient than previously and the caliper is 200grams lighter. The exhaust pipe is designed to give better ground clearance.
